Healthcare
- With over 750,000 un-insured individuals in the State of Maryland, there is much work to be done in providing access and quality affordable health care for my constituents and to the overall State. Healthcare is a right for every American and should never be just a privilege.
Criminal Justice
- Much needs to be done to deal with the current Opiate Crisis and the tragic loss of life associated with this epidemic. Approach to reducing crime is understanding that substance abuse treatment is a medical condition and provision of increased funding for the continuum of drug treatment services is necessary to prevent crime
- We must also work to end the cycle of re incarceration and find employment for returning residents after incarceration.
Education
- Making sure that all children have the opportunity to access a quality education that adequately prepares them for the future.

Economic Development
- Providing increased access to capital for small business owners
- Work to support the creation of high paying jobs, especially supporting the development of trade schools and technological careers in Baltimore City and County.
- Provision of technical assistance to support entrepreneurs and business owners
Environment
- Continue to support legislation that seeks to improve the quality of the environment, such as the Clean Air Act, Water Conservation and Smart Growth.
- Create and support legislation that allows District 44 to grow and thrive economically while also being ecologically sustainable.
